MOSCOW, December 5 – RIA Novosti. Starting from December 25, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation banned employees from using Apple phones and tablets for official purposes and excluded their purchase for their own needs, a source told RIA Novosti.

According to the Central Bank’s 2022 annual report, the average number of employees last year was 44 thousand 568.
A number of government organizations and departments of the Russian Federation have already implemented bans on the use of iPhone for business purposes. For example, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation is aware of a ban on this. The Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation also banned its employees from using Apple smartphones and tablets to access business applications and correspondence. In addition, customs officials and employees of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation are prohibited from using iPhones.
