YaNAO Governor Artyukhov and Gazprom agree to develop the NGV fuel market
EKATERINBURG, 20 June – RIA Novosti. According to the press service of the regional governor, the Governor of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (YaNAO) Dmitry Artyukhov and the head of Gazprom Alexei Miller agreed to develop the gas engine fuel market in the region.
st. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2022, the parties signed an agreement to expand the use of natural gas as motor fuel. The agreement provides for the development of a regional transport and gas-powered equipment park and infrastructure for refueling.
“This year has been declared the Year of the Environment in Yamal. From public transport and municipal equipment to environmentally friendly and more profitable natural gas “Today, out of every 3 buses in our country one is running on gasoline engine fuel. We will increase the share of such vehicles and with the support of the company, we will create an infrastructure for refueling. ,” Artyukhov said in his message.
Since 2018, 90 environmentally friendly fuel-using equipment has been purchased in the district: 70 modern buses and 21 road and municipal equipment. Within the framework of the regional program for the renewal of public transport and equipment, an additional 53 gas buses and 10 gas motor fueled road vehicles will be supplied to municipalities by the end of this year.
For the further development of the gas engine fuel market, the gas filling network needs to be expanded. Currently, there are four CNG filling compressor stations in the region: one in Salekhard and Novy Urengoy, two in the Nadymsky district. Two of them – in Novy Urengoy and Nadym – belong to Gazprom. The region plans to build three more blocks of modular gas stations, which will operate on the basis of municipal motor transport enterprises in Salekhard, Labytnangi and Muravlenko. The press service stated that as part of the agreement, Gazprom will work on possibilities for the further development of gas filling infrastructure in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Region.
