MOSCOW, July 27 – RIA Novosti. German automaker Mercedes-Benz received an additional cost of 1.4 billion euros due to the suspension of production and deliveries in Russia.
In early March, Mercedes-Benz announced the suspension of automobile production at its plant in the Moscow region and the suspension of deliveries of the brand’s passenger cars and light vehicles to the Russian market.
In the first half of the year, the company’s net profit decreased by 16% to 6.6 billion euros, and in the second quarter by 13.6% to 3.107 billion. At the same time, the company estimated the costs associated with the adjustment of activities in Russia at 1.4 billion euros.
