Turkish Ministry of Defense: First ship with corn grains from Odessa will go to Lebanon
ANKARA, 1 August – RIA Novosti. The Turkish Ministry of Defense said that the grain-laden ship will leave the port of Odessa on Monday and head to Lebanon.
The official representative of the President of Turkey, İbrahim Kalın, said on Sunday that grain shipments from Ukraine could begin on 1 August. According to him, the loading of the ships was completed. According to a source familiar with the situation, according to RIA Novosti, representatives of the Coordination Center in Istanbul will follow the passage of the ship with grain using satellites.
“According to the agreement, the Sierra Leone-flagged maize-laden Razoni ship will leave the port of Odessa at 08:30 local time (Moscow time) and depart for Lebanon,” the message said.
On July 22, multilateral agreements were signed in Istanbul on the lifting of restrictions on the supply of Russian products for export and Russia’s assistance in the export of Ukrainian grain. The agreement, signed by representatives of Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and the UN, includes the export of grain, food and fertilizer from Ukraine’s three ports, including Odessa, via the Black Sea.
