Said by Rifkat Minnikhanov, chairman of the Tatarstan Digital Development Promotion Association.
“The geography of Kazan Digital Week is expanding to countries with which we have not been actively working before – close abroad, Asian countries. This year’s participants include, for example, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Myanmar, Indonesia, Malaysia,” said Minnikhanov.
According to him, due to the international situation this year, it is difficult to trust the large number of foreign participants of the Kazan Digital Week, especially Europeans. However, the president of the association noted that even before the sanctions, the share of Europeans was only 1% of the total number of foreign participants in the forum.
That’s why we decided last year to stop working with Europe.”
In general, according to Minnikhanov, the organizers of the forum expect more interest in the event this year and expect the number of participants to increase by several thousand.
He said the main application campaign started in September. But already, 88 exhibitors have applied to participate in the exhibition, for example, as part of the Kazan Digital Week. These are Innopolis, Skolkovo, KAMAZ, Tatarstan Ministry of Digital Development, Perm Region, Bank of Russia, RosdorNII, HeadHunter and others. “At the moment, 80% of the area is occupied, although 4,000 square meters were allocated for the exhibition last year, and 10,000 square meters this year,” the agency’s interlocutor said.
Kazan Digital Week is an annual communication platform for developers and users of digital technologies, systems, services and services created on its basis.
