Deputy PM Novak: Russia explores expanding export infrastructure for oil
MOSCOW, May 9 – RIA Novosti. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak told reporters that Russia is considering several options to diversify its export oil infrastructure, including expansion of port facilities and the East Siberia-Pacific Ocean (ESPO) pipeline system.
“We are considering several options to diversify our infrastructure into other areas. There are several options, we will look at options to expand port capacities, not just the ESPO option, but also our other regions,” Novak said.
He noted that these issues are now being considered by the working group. “The most effective options will be proposed to expand the infrastructure. If we talk about ESPO, then this is one of the options,” he added.
