Myanmar leader proposes using rubles, yuan and rupees instead of dollars in world trade
VLADIVOSTOK, September 7 – RIA Novosti. The Myanmar leader, Prime Minister and head of the State Administrative Council, Min Aung Hlein, said the Ruble, Yuan and Rupee could be used to end the “dollar deterrent” in world trade.
“The great powers are using the ‘dollar deterrence’ policy… I think the same currencies can be used as the ruble, yuan and rupee in world trade. Also, the dollar can be replaced by a direct trading system.” He said at the plenary meeting of the Eastern Economic Forum (WEF).
WEF will take place on the campus of Far Eastern Federal University on Russky Island in Vladivostok on September 5-8. RIA Novosti acts as the general media partner of the forum.
