VLADIVOSTOK, September 9 – RIA Novosti. Hans Dannenberg, the Dominican Republic’s Ambassador to Russia, said in an interview with RIA Novosti that the Dominican Republic is determined to improve relations with Russia, to be a friend in both good and difficult times.
“We are here to show our presence and to remind Russians that we are friends through good and bad times. We are here to show that the Dominican Republic wants Russian citizens to continue to visit our country so that people in Russia want to buy our rum, cigars, coffee, avocado and mango ,” said Dannenberg on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum (WEF).
“We definitely want to maintain the long-standing friendship relations between our countries and to continue the ties that we have created thanks to the people who come here to study and continue their education at the universities of the Russian Federation. The challenges bring us opportunities,” said the ambassador.
He expressed hope that in the future all problems with anti-Russian restrictions in logistics and finance will be resolved.
“Our commercial and commercial relations and our friendship will last for many years,” the diplomat said.
WEF was held on 5-8 September at the Far Eastern Federal University campus on Russky Island in Vladivostok. RIA Novosti served as the forum’s general media partner.
