For the first time, the exhibition “Heritage and Modernity” of young Russian artists will be held in Moscow
MOSCOW, 1 October – RIA Novosti. For the first time, the exhibition “Heritage and Modernity” of young Russian artists will be held in Moscow. It opened in the Central Hall of the Union of Artists of Russia in the West Wing of the New Tretyakov Gallery, the press service reported.
The fair is located on more than 1200 square meters. The exhibition features more than 140 projects by 48 young masters in different styles, techniques and genres: painting, graphics, sculpture, photography and digital art. They were selected from among the applications of 440 artists.
The exhibition is dedicated to the Year of the Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia. The works reflect the national identity and cultural code of different regions of the country.
Adygea, Altai Territory, Bashkortostan, Stavropol Territory, Tomsk, Magadan, Murmansk, Tyumen, Sverdlovsk and Omsk regions, Buryatia, Krasnoyarsk Territory, Chuvashia, Moscow and St. Masters from St. Petersburg will present their work.
Meetings with the authors of the works, professional community members – gallery owners and art historians are also planned to watch the exhibition. The artists of the “New Fairy Tale” art project will present theatrical performances combining classical music and artistic video projections.
The exhibition will continue until October 10, 2022. Free admission.
