Diaghilev Research Center will open in the New Tretyakov Gallery in Krymsky Val
MOSCOW, October 3 – RIA Novosti. The press service of the institution reported that Sergei Diaghilev’s research center will open in the New Tretyakov Gallery on Krymsky Val after the restoration of the building.
“Over the past time, the museum’s specialists have conducted a comprehensive study of the fund of the Gallery on the theme “Russian Ballets …”, significant scientific material has been collected, and the acquisition of new works of art makes it possible to argue. The current exhibition, Sergei Diaghilev state that the future research center is a real “dress rehearsal”, – in the museum.
Earlier, museum director Zelfira Tregulova had reported that restoration of the New Tretyakov Gallery was necessary. Reconstruction dates depend on when the construction of the building on the Kadashevskaya Embankment will be completed and when the storage facility in Kommunarka will be built for the collections of four federal and 20 Moscow museums.
On October 4, the exhibition “Diaghilev. General rehearsal” will be opened. This is the gallery’s second project on the theme of Diaghilev’s seasons. In 2009, the Tretyakov Gallery held the exhibition “Dance Vision” by Sergei Diaghilev, which coincided with the 150th anniversary of the Russian Ballet.
