The backdrop of the shooting of the movie “Challenge” starring Peresild was completed in “Baikonur”.
MOSCOW, October 5 – RIA Novosti. At the Baikonur Cosmodrome, the location shooting of the “Challenge” tape, partly the first film shot in space on the ISS, has been completed, the press service reported.
Due to quarantine and pre-launch preparations, some scenes could not be run before launch. Therefore, the heroes of the project returned to Baikonur a year after the flight.
Filming took place at the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center (CPC) – at the Chkalovsky military airfield and on specially made stages, as well as in the halls with simulators to control the Russian part of the ISS and Soyuz manned spacecraft, hydrolaboratory and centrifugal complexes. Mission Control Center (TsUP) and the National Space Center, created on the basis of the sanatorium “Voronovo”.
During the ground-based shooting unit, 53 shooting shifts were carried out, three of which were on the Il-76 MDK zero-gravity laboratory aircraft.
Yulia Peresild played the main role in the project.
“It’s been a year since the flight and I have mixed feelings. On the one hand, it’s like a whole life has come and gone in this time, and on the other hand, everything seems new. The soul remains in Baikonur, so I want to return here again and again”, – Peresild shares his experiences.
Vladimir Mashkov is also featured in the tape.
“The task of this painting is to once again tell about space, the people who live in it. In Baikonur, everything is so clear and responsible that a group of filmmakers may be completely out of place, but we found understanding, respected each other in business “, says the actor.
Active cosmonauts took part in the shooting. After a period of post-flight adaptation, Oleg Novitsky, Pyotr Dubrov and Anton Shkaplerov participated in painting work on Earth.
The first film crew – actress Yulia Peresild, director Klim Shipenko and Roscosmos cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov – flew into orbit on October 5, 2021. There were 12 shooting shifts on the ISS.
The Challenge will be released in wide release on April 12, 2023.
