Museum of the East opens an exhibition by Yakut artist Aana Zvereva about the northern woman
MOSCOW, October 7 – RIA Novosti. Reconstructions of women’s Yakut national clothes, traditional jewelry and household items of the 18th and 19th centuries can be seen in the new exhibition by artist Aana Zvereva in the Museum of the East.
According to the press service of the museum, the exhibition includes more than 100 items of reconstruction, as well as original works of Zvereva – panels and carpets created according to ancient Yakut traditions.
For example, the artist managed to restore one of the oldest types of female creativity – a unique textile mosaic “kybytyy”.

Zvereva’s works are kept in Russian and foreign museums, and in Moscow, St. It is exhibited in major art exhibitions in St. Petersburg, Yakutsk, Tokyo, Birmingham and Naples.
The exhibition “The World of a Northern Woman. Aana Zvereva – People’s Artist of Yakutia” is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Yakut Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic and will run until 13 November 2022.
