The Pushkin Museum will host the “Common Language” exhibition and a satellite of a music festival
MOSCOW, October 10 – RIA Novosti. The institution’s director, Marina Loshak, said at a press conference dedicated to the study that the Pushkin Museum will host the Universal Language exhibition and the Art of Translation satellite music festival.
As Ilya Doronchenkov, deputy science director of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts noted, the exhibition will feature a variety of documents, including cuneiform, birch bark letters, diplomatic agreements and gifts.
Doronchenkov says the exhibition is dedicated to “how the visual culture of any era is a universal language that helps us when spoken language is not always meaningful, not always a good helper”.
According to Loshak, the music festival aims to turn the audience into the theme of “a multilingual, multifaceted world” where all arts and languages are intertwined in “a quiet, lost dialogue that needs to be renewed”. “
As Julia De-Klerk, head of the music culture department of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, stated, the festival will combine eight programs built as a dialogue between different cultures, periods, genres and styles into three one-day cycles. . The opening of the show will be performed by the Moscow Chamber of Soloists’ Ensemble performance by Yuri Bashmet.
The “Universal Language” exhibition will be held between December 15, 2022 and March 15, 2023, and the “Art of Translation” festival will be held between December 16-18.
