MOSCOW, October 11 – RIA Novosti. The press service of the institution reported that tactile copies of the exhibits appeared in the Museum of the East.

Five of them are open to the public. These are the Indonesian dagger of the 19th century, Kris, 17th-18th century. Vietnamese statue of the centuries-old goddess of mercy, Kuan-am, a scene from the legend of Le Loi and the Golden Tortoise, and Vietnamese food, Indonesian masks. traditional wayang topeng theater – Buta Chakil and Panji. All of them are located in the halls of Southeast Asia.

There’s another one in the China Hall. There is a copy of the garden sculpture “Phoenix” of the XIX century.

In addition to these, the museum has placed tactile objects for the visually impaired that can only be touched on excursions. These include a porcelain lion playing with a sword, an image of a dragon inscribed in a circle on the right shoulder of an 18th-century imperial coat, and a three-legged frog and a head attributed to Taoist saint Hou-Xiang.

Participants of the inclusive creative laboratory of the A Tale Journey project have already taken such a trip. Guests learned about Vietnamese mythological and legendary heroes.
