50 theaters from 17 Russian cities will participate in the Golden Mask competition
MOSCOW, November 3 – RIA Novosti. RIA Novosti told the press service of the award that 50 theaters from 17 Russian cities will participate in the Golden Mask competition program.
The nominees for the award are 50 performances and 180 special candidates selected by two expert councils for drama theatre, puppet theater and musical theatre. For the first time, projects from Tula and Gubakha (Perm Territory) will be nominated.
The experts also compiled a long list, it includes 90 productions of drama theater and puppet theater and 49 productions of musical theatre.
Candidates will participate in the Golden Mask festival 2023, which will be held in Moscow from January to April and will present the best works of the season from all sides: drama, opera, ballet, modern dance, operetta / musical, puppet theater .
At the ceremony that will take place on the stage of Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Musical Theater on April 22, 2023, the names of the award winners will be determined and announced by the jury.
During the year, the two expert councils watched 1046 performances in cinemas and videos, the premieres of which took place in more than 130 cities of Russia from August 1, 2021 to July 31, 2022.
