Yakobson Ballet Theater will present the classics in Vladikavkaz in November
MOSCOW, November 2 – RIA Novosti. The institution’s press service told RIA Novosti that tours of the Leonid Yakobson Ballet Theater in Vladikavkaz will take place from 9 to 13 November.
Ballet classics will be performed on the stage of the Mariinsky Theater branch: on November 9, 10 and 11, the audience will see Swan Lake, and on November 12 and 13, the performers will present the Christmas fairy tale The Nutcracker.
In addition to the evening show, there will be a Nutcracker show especially for children during the day on 13 November.
“We will enter the Vladikavkaz stage for the fifth time and the tour will take longer than usual this year,” said Andrian Fadeev, the artistic director of the theatre.
He noted that the troupe of the Yakobson Ballet Theater in St. Petersburg annually performs on the historical stage of the Mariinsky Theater, expressing the hope that such a story will be repeated with the Caucasian branch of the institution.
“We go to Vladikavkaz with special pleasure. The locals have known us for a long time and, judging by the warm welcome, they managed to fall in love with us,” says Fadeev.
