MOSCOW, November 25 – RIA Novosti. The artistic director of the New Theater, Eduard Boyakov, said that the first premiere of the Lubyansky Make-Up Theater was dedicated to the journalist and political scientist Daria Dugina, who died in the summer.
Dugina died in an explosion on the Mozhaisk highway in the Odintsovo district of the Moscow region on the evening of August 20. The FSB said on August 22 that the Ukrainian special services were behind the murder, and that the perpetrator was Natalya Vovk, a Ukrainian citizen who came to Russia with her daughter on July 23.
According to the FSB, after the controlled explosion of the car, the perpetrator and his daughter traveled to Estonia via the Pskov region.
On Friday, the New Theater presents an immersive play “Lubyansk Makeup Artist” based on the prose of Nikolai Leskov. The production will be the first premiere played on the estate of the Saltykov-Chertkovs, which is the main residence of the institution. In the interiors of an old noble mansion, two stories unfold simultaneously.
The show has more than 30 characters, four audience groups of 50, four routes, four scenarios. Each team goes their own way to see and understand the story. The project includes People’s Artists of Russia Leonid Yakubovich and Valentin Klementiev, as well as Evdokia Germanova, Tatyana Shalkovskaya, Eduard Flerov and the entire theater troupe.
