“The professional standard was developed by the Union of Composers of Russia with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation in accordance with the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation on measures of state support for composers,” the ministry said.
It explains the composer’s basic labor functions, educational requirements, knowledge and skills necessary for the implementation of professional activities.
It was developed by the union in 2022, and with its approval, the profession of composition will receive official status. This means that for the first time industry representatives can count on employment in their area of expertise.
