According to the first rumors Order is an ambitious and complex crime thriller that belongs to the reference genre – in fact, the thriller – but from which he constantly tries to distance himself by deconstructing the stylistic features of this genre and creating a story that goes beyond the classical depiction of crime. The story, however, was not intended for cinema, but is rooted in novel Silent Brotherhoodwritten by Kevin Flynn and Gary Gerhardt and adapted Zach Beilin – Oscar nominee The Winning Family – King Richard. Set in 1983, the story follows a series of more or less serious crimes—increasingly violent bank robberies, counterfeiting, attacks on armored trucks—that shake and unsettle American communities in the Pacific Northwest. As law enforcement desperately searches for answers, a lone FBI agent in a sleepy town Coeur d’Alene (ID) comes to understand that crimes are committed not by common criminals, but by dangerous white supremacist terrorist groupled by a radical and charismatic leader intent on starting a war against the federal government of the United States.
