Four museums teamed up to develop the “Russia – birthplace of cosmonautics” route
YAROSLAVL, June 2 – RIA Novosti. Four museums signed a cooperation agreement in Yaroslavl to “revive” the route “Russia – the birthplace of the cosmonautics” and attract not only schoolchildren, but also adult tourists, said Alla Manilova, Secretary of State of the Russian Federation – Deputy Minister of Culture.
According to the Culture Department of the Yaroslavl Region, the cooperation agreement was signed by the memorial-museum reserve of Yu.A. Gagarin, State Museum of Cosmonautics History, KE Tsiolkovsky, Yaroslavl State Historical, Architecture and Art Museum-Reserve and Yaroslavl Cultural and Educational Center, VV Tereshkova. According to the document, the subject of the agreement was cooperation “in the field of popularization and study of cosmonautics, astronomy and related fields of science and culture”.

On June 2-3, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation gathered in Yaroslavl representatives of the largest museums, the tourism industry and specialists of the All-Russian project “Museum Roads of Russia”.
“We are very pleased that an agreement was signed between space museums today. Are we satisfied with the course of our route “Russia is the birthplace of space science”? No, she said.
By the way, according to him, this is a “luxury theme”, but the current route works mainly for children.
“Probably now we need to come up with a very specific action plan with you on how to revive this route, how to make it attractive to tourists,” the deputy minister said.
