Shoigu: Established “Foundation to support military-patriotic cinema” under the auspices of the Ministry of Defense
MOSCOW, June 7 – RIA Novosti. Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that the Military-Patriotic Cinema Support Fund was created under the auspices of the Russian military department.
“The Ministry of Defense attaches great importance to preserving the memory of the most important events in our history, making films about the exploits of the citizens of the country, fighting against the falsification of history, and the patriotic education of youth. To fulfill these tasks, the Army Patriotic Cinema Support Fund was created,” Shoigu said.
According to him, the purpose of the fund is “to assist in the production of films with a military-patriotic theme, including the activities of the Ministry of Defense and the tasks solved by the Armed Forces.” The Minister wished the fund successful activities.
