Lyubimova: Ministry of Culture plans to extend the national “Culture” project until 2030

MOSCOW, November 29 – RIA Novosti. Russian Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova said that the ministry plans to extend the national “Culture” project until 2030.

“The fifth year of implementation of the national project on culture is coming to an end. As you know, the level of cash implementation is one of the highest… That is why today we are working to expand the national project ” “Culture until 2030,” said Lyubimova during the government hour in the State Duma.

He pointed out that the biggest need of the regions is the modernization of cultural facilities.

Within the scope of the national “Culture” project, 274 buildings of children’s art schools were reconstructed or overhauled in 2022-2023. According to the minister, 610 arts schools and colleges are equipped with musical instruments, equipment and educational materials.

“We built, rebuilt and overhauled 336 rural cultural centers in 68 regions. This year, the construction and overhaul of 75 more cultural centers was completed,” Lyubimova emphasized.

He also reported that in 2022, 103 movie theaters will be modernized in settlements of up to 500 thousand people in 50 regions of Russia. The Minister said, “94 more movie theaters will be opened in 38 regions by December 25.”
