After hearing with Depp, Hurd sells a home in California for a million dollars
WASHINGTON, August 1 – RIA Novosti. American actress Amber Heard sold her $150,000 home in California, with a court order ordering her to pay her ex-husband Johnny Depp more than $10 million, TMZ reports, citing real estate firm Zillow.
As the portal notes, the home in the California town of Yucca Valley was sold on July 18. The sale was nearly double the price Amber paid to buy the house in 2019. The approximate profit was about 480 thousand dollars.
A jury in the United States found Hurd guilty of defaming Depp and sentenced him to $15 million in damages and a fine, the amount later reduced. As a result, the player is obliged to pay 10 million 35 thousand dollars. The actress’ lawyers appealed this decision, but the court denied Hurd’s request for a new hearing on Depp’s case.
Earlier, the lawyer of actress Elaine Bredehoft, who represented her in court in the case against Depp, said that her client did not have enough money to pay the amount determined by the court.
