Moscow Kremlin Museums Plan to Show Russian-Style Enamel Exhibitions in Thailand
BANGKOK, May 2 – RIA Novosti. According to Elena Gagarina, the general director of the institution, the Moscow Kremlin Museums, together with their Thai partners, have begun to prepare the first exhibition in this country.
The Thai side has requested to hold the event during the coronavirus pandemic, when it is impossible to hold full-fledged meetings and negotiations.
Among such products are enamels on metal: silver, copper, gold – dishes, cutlery. Everything that is icon frames, cigarette cases, and miniature sculpture is made in this style. Often in the Tretyakov Gallery there are reproduced paintings of the brush of Vasnetsov, Krapivin, Mashkov. It is also planned to show luxury enamels – matte, transparent, transparent (light passes through them) by Carl Faberge.
The guests of the exhibition are three Easter eggs, II. They will have the opportunity to see personal belongings of Nicholas and Empress Alexandra Feodorovna, works made of jade, an important stone for the inhabitants of the kingdom, and works from Fyodor Ruckert’s workshop decorated with Russian. -style enamel.
An important part of the exhibition, II. There will be exhibits on the friendly relations between Nicholas and King Rama V of Siam. This is, for example, a chain with the star of the Order of Chakri, which was awarded to the future Russian emperor, who visited Siam in 1891.
The event is scheduled to coincide with the celebration of the 125th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and the Kingdom of Siam (now Thailand) in 2022.
