This protects electrical grids in winter

Power grid operators must maintain grid stability at all costs to avoid power outages. It works fine, but it also gets tight at times. This is how they arm themselves.

The vast majority of Germans fear a major power outage: In a Civey Institute survey, 53 percent said they were very concerned about a winter power outage due to the energy crisis. Even the Ministry of Economy cannot completely eliminate “a crisis in the electricity system in winter”, but considers it unlikely – this is the result of the stress test presented at the beginning of September.

Experts do not expect an uncontrolled, large-scale power outage this winter, the so-called power outage. However, many do not consider it impossible. But how to trigger such a power outage? And what are power grid operators doing to prevent such a scenario?
