To celebrate the continuity of poetic activity and the important experience of the poetic scene, the Casa da Poesia of the Department of Culture organized an evening last Tuesday, in which Dr. Walid Al-Sarafi of Iraq, Abu Bakr Al-Junaid. , from Sudan and Dr. Abdullah Bela, from Burkina Faso, in the presence of the director of the house, Mohamed Abdullah Al-Breiki, was attended by the poet Suhaib Nabhan, who introduced the poets of the night and praised the role of Casa da Poesia to continue celebrating experiences and providing poetry . The poets’ content varied between the subjective, the patriotic and the nostalgia for the homeland, and they sang with a passion that filled their lyrics and won the admiration of the people in Plaza de la Casa de la Poesía. The reading was opened by the poet Walid al-Saraf, who recited a poem he dedicated to “Umm al-Rabein”, his hometown of Mosul. He read a text praising Sharjah and its role as a poetry house that celebrates poets. Later, the poet Abu Bakr al-Junayd recited a set of poems characterized by their subjectivity.
The reading was concluded by the poet Abdullah Bela, who addressed the values of place and nature using conscious symbolic poetry. At the end of the night, Muhammad Al-Buraiki paid tribute to the poets and the night’s host.
