The Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage in Dubai participated in the International Conference on 7th Century Manuscripts “Science of Revelation” organized by Al Taghra Foundation of Spain, House of Manuscripts of Sultan Ahmed in Turkey. Knowledge Firm Foundation in Kuwait, Dar Al Rowadi in Kuwait and Al Zaytouna University in Tunis, from November 19 to 24, 2022, in Granada, Spain, in which thirty-six researchers from fifteen countries participated. 🇧🇷
The center was represented by the director general of the center, Dr. Muhammad Kamel Ghad, in a study on “Hadith Manuscripts and Their Sciences at the 7th Century Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage,” in which he spoke. Through the Center’s efforts to preserve, digitize, and index manuscripts around the world, it subsequently revised the Hadith manuscripts and their sciences in AD. in the 7th century, which are preserved in the center, where he analyzed them statistically and bibliographically, and revealed their nature, the most outstanding copy and what was in the writings of their authors, and the copies that the center introduced and were not known before, especially the manuscripts that the center pulled from libraries, which did not have indexes, and their influence is based on recent studies.
The organizing committee chose the Juma Al Majid Center to deliver the official speech at the opening of the conference on behalf of the heritage institutions, the Director of the Center, Dr. Muhammad Kamel Gad delivered the speech on behalf of His Excellency Juma Al Majid. It is worth noting that, at the end of the conference, the conference organizing committee chose the Juma Al-Majid Center along with Al-Zaytouna University of Tunis as this year’s honorary institution. The badge of honor was received by Dr. Mohamed Kamel Jad, Director General of the Centre.
