The agreement, which was signed virtually, follows the decision of the 22nd session of the Conference of Ministers Responsible for Cultural Affairs in the Arab World, organized by the State and related to the joint Arab cultural project, specifically in that part. In connection with the Arab Inscription Gate Enrichment Project, founded by Sheikha Al-Yaziah bint Nahyan Al Nahyan, it was opened by His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, in April 2021.
Given the importance of this project to document one of the components of the cultural heritage of Arab countries and its accessibility for all researchers and interested in this type of written heritage, it was agreed that the portal should be enriched by all Arabs. Countries represented by their Ministries of Culture and Tourism.
The agreement aims to support and enrich the “Arab Registration Portal” www.aip.ae in collaboration between the Arab Organization for Education, Culture and Science and the National Commission for Education, Culture and Science of the UAE, which is one of the most important sites in the Arab region related to the preservation of the most visible aspects of the Arab cultural heritage.
