Convoys assemble in the Kremlin before the admission of new territories to Russia
MOSCOW, September 30 – RIA Novosti. According to the RIA Novosti correspondent, on the eve of the signing of agreements on the entry of new territories into Russia, corteges of government cars are gathering in the Kremlin.
A cortege of government cars entered the Kremlin from the side of the Borovitskaya Tower, closest to the monument to Prince Vladimir, and the cars drove one by one. The nearby area is partially closed to traffic, there are no obstacles for the passage of people – on the contrary, parents and tourists with children walk near the monument to Prince Vladimir.
From September 23 to 27, referendums on joining Russia were held in the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, as well as in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. According to the results of processing 100% of the votes in the DPR, 99.23% of those who voted to join the Russian Federation, in the LPR – 98.42%, in the Kherson region – 87.05%, in the Zaporozhye region – 93%, 11th. Russian President Vladimir Putin said last week that Russia will support the decision to be made by residents of the Donbass, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.
Press secretary of the head of state, Dmitry Peskov, said that the signing ceremony of the agreements on the accession of the four new regions to Russia will be held in the Kremlin on Friday, and Putin will attend it.
