Darja Dugina died in an attack in Moscow on August 20. Apparently, the US secret services suspect that Ukraine is behind the murder.
According to reports, US intelligence services assume that parts of the Ukrainian government approved the assassination attempt on Russian war supporter Darya Dugina in Moscow.
The New York Times and CNN reported Wednesday that the United States had no prior knowledge of the plans, citing unnamed sources. However, it is not known exactly who approved the attack.
US officials warned Ukrainian officials of the assassination.
The Ukrainian was charged shortly after the crime
The car driven by the daughter of right-wing nationalist Alexander Dugin exploded near Moscow on 20 August.
Shortly after the crime, investigators took him out in search of a Ukrainian suspect. Russia blames Ukraine’s secret services for the attack. Kyiv denies any attention.
To date, it is unclear who was behind the alleged assassination and whether Dugin himself was the victim.
