He noted that the draft final declaration devoted to the global agenda would not be accepted “due to the mistake of the West”.

The senator noted that Western countries are trying to “force” changes regarding Ukraine into the final draft declaration, which was laid out in the most anti-Russian vein. As a result, Western countries remained in the minority.

“We were ready to move forward, to adopt the document unanimously, but the minority Western countries blocked the adoption of the final declaration without passing their amendments,” Kosachev said. said.

According to the senator, first a representative from the UK and then the European Parliament, who allegedly spoke from the entire European Union, spoke about this issue.

Kosachev explained that the committee responsible for the preparation of the draft declaration included representatives of all G20 countries – the document turned out to be objective and fair.

The Russian senator said, “The West remained in the minority with its Russophobic approaches. Pro-Ukrainian and anti-Russian changes were not supported.”
