Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) gave information about his phone conversations with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The SPD politician reported that these talks lasted up to an hour and a half at the “Rheinische Post” meeting in Düsseldorf on Monday evening.
Scholz: Putin often does without German translation
The last one was last December. “Sometimes Putin abandons the German translation because he already understands it, and sometimes the Kremlin boss also speaks German – “if appropriate,” said Scholz.
