For the sake of security, the Moscow Election Commission shared the encryption keys of the test vote

MOSCOW, August 25 – RIA Novosti. According to the RIA Novosti correspondent, the Moscow City Selection Committee carried out the procedure for separating the encryption keys of the test voting for the safety of the procedure.

The test voting blockchain encryption key was split into 3 parts and handed over to Vladimir Popov, secretary of the Moscow City Election Commission, Vadim Kovalev, a member of the Moscow Civil Chamber, and Nikolai Gerashchenko, a member of the Moscow City Election Committee.

The key will be tied on August 26 at 17:00 and then the counting of votes will begin.

Earlier, Artem Kostyrko, head of the Moscow Government Department for the Improvement of Regional Government and the Development of Smart Projects, reported that the test voting in online and offline formats will take place on August 26 in Moscow from 8.00 to 17.00.

On the portal of the Mayor and Government of Moscow, this year test takers asked “What are the improvements that will help make your area more comfortable?” It has been reported that they will receive a bulletin titled. Various answers will be presented. Tests will be conducted in the same way as elections – residents receive a ballot and then mark it. Currently, the developers will check how the system works in conditions close to real voting.

In Moscow, municipal elections in 2022 will be held in 125 out of 146 municipalities. Voting in the municipal deputies elections will be held in three days from September 9-11. The electronic voter list is used for the first time in the elections. It will combine traditional and online voting, greatly simplifying the election procedure and reducing the number of potential shortcomings.
