In Central Russia, the polls open on a single voting day
MOSCOW, September 11 – RIA Novosti. On Sunday, ballot boxes were opened to vote in the elections in Central Russia.
The polling stations on Single Voting Day opened at 8:00 Moscow time for the elections of the heads of the Ryazan, Yaroslavl, Novgorod, Tambov, Vladimir, Kirov regions, as well as Mari El and Karelia. In Moscow, municipal deputies are elected. In all the above regions, with the exception of Mari El and the Kirov region, a three-day voting format was chosen. Elections in Mari El are held in one day – the Single Voting Day. In the Kirov region, two-day voting, the previous day – on September 10, the polls were opened. All sites will be open until 20:00 Moscow time. Remote electronic voting is also available for voters in the Novgorod, Yaroslavl regions and Moscow.
Moscow
Moscow is one of the regions where the three-day voting took place. This year, 125 out of 146 municipalities were elected as municipal deputies. There were 5638 candidates on the ballot. There are 3261 chests in the city. At the same time, this time there are no ballot boxes in pre-trial detention centers and hospitals. As in previous years, Muscovites can vote at the polls not only in person, but also electronically on any of the three days, no application is required for this. Electronic voting continues uninterruptedly from 8:00 pm on September 9 until 20:00 on Sunday.

The voting period in Moscow is three days. MPs are elected in 125 out of 146 municipalities. There were 5638 candidates on the ballot.
