Voting in the Ryazan region takes place on September 9, 10 and 11 from 8:00 to 20:00. Governors are elected in the region and local government elections are held in various districts. The ballot boxes were also opened in the Ryazan, Vladimir and Yaroslavl regions. They elect governors.

In total, 67 candidates from ten parties registered for the election of senior officials, two of whom ran their own candidacy.

Malkov took part in the voting at a ballot box located in a school in the center of Ryazan.
“Today is the third day of voting. A total of 999 ballot boxes have been opened and are operating in the district. They opened at 8:00 am today and will run until 8:00 pm… The elections are held without any serious extremism, without incident. Everything is fine. It’s a quiet mode,” said the acting governor to reporters.
The previous elections for the governor of the Ryazan region took place on the same day, September 10, 2017. In May of this year, Russian President Vladimir Putin accepted the resignation of the head of the region, Nikolai Lyubimov. Malkov was appointed Acting Governor.
