Kokorin’s first goal for “Aris” did not save the club from the defeat of “Karmiotissa” in the Cypriot championship
MOSCOW, September 15 – RIA Novosti. Football club “Aris”, played by Russian striker Alexander Kokorin, lost to “Karmiotissa” in the home match of the fourth round of the Cyprus championship.
The match, which took place in the city of Limassol, ended with the defeat of the hosts by a score of 1:2. As part of the victories, Dion Malone (6th minute) and Munir El Allouhi (77) scored the goals. Starting Aris’ third game in a row on the bench, Kokorin took the field at halftime and scored a goal in the fifth stoppage. After the removal of Steve Yago, the home team was in the minority in the 75th minute.
The goal in this match was the first goal for Kokorin since he scored for Spartak Moscow (2:0) in the Russian Championship match against Rotor Volgograd on November 29, 2020.

“Aris” took their first defeat of the season after three starting victories, but retained the first streak in the championship with nine points ahead of “Apollo” in terms of goal difference.
