Circular will replace injured Diveev in Russian national football team
MOSCOW, September 18 – RIA Novosti. Petersburg “Zenith” defender Danil Krugovoi was called up to the Russian national football team for a friendly match with the Kyrgyzstan team, informs Official website of the Russian Football Union (RFU).
By the decision of the coaches, Krugovoi will replace CSKA defender Igor Diveev, who broke his shin in the Russian Premier League (RPL) 10th round match against Torpedo Moscow (0:1) on Saturday. Diveev’s recovery time will be at least three months.
Krugovoi was included in the expanded list of national team players announced on September 7 by the coaching team headed by Valery Karpin. The players, who will train at the base in Novogorsk on September 19-22, will then go to Bishkek and play a friendly match with the Kyrgyz team on September 24.
