American boxer Shakur Stevenson, who lost the World Boxing Council (WBC) and World Boxing Organization (WBO) titles, announced that he made the transition to welterweight because he could not meet the welterweight category before his fight with Brazilian Robson Conceicao.
The fight between Stevenson and Robson will take place on the night of September 24, Moscow time. The weigh-in was held on Friday. The weight of the 25-year-old American was 1.6 pounds (0.725 kg) above the norm for the second featherweight (130 pounds – 58.967 kg) – 131.6 pounds (59.7 kg). Two hours later he refused a second scale.
