“Torpedo” beat “Vanguard” and wins fourth straight KHL victory
MOSCOW, September 23 – RIA Novosti. Omsk Avangard lost to Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo in the regular season match of the Continental Hockey League (KHL).

The match in Nizhny Novgorod ended in 4:2 (1:0, 0:0, 3:2) for the home team. The goals of the victories were scored by Mark Marin (15th minute), Maxim Letunov (44), Denis Yan (46) and Sergey Goncharuk (57). Guests Alex Broadhurst (41) and Christian Jarosh (56) scored.
“Torpedo” scored a fourth consecutive victory in the KHL, gaining 14 points to move up to second place in the Western Conference standings. Avangard is in ninth place in the East with 7 points. In the next match, on September 25, residents of Omsk will play Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk on the road, and Nizhny Novgorod a day later SKA St. Petersburg to meet.
In another match, on home ice “Neftekhimik” lost to Chelyabinsk “Tractor” with a score of 3: 5.
