Russian MMA fighter Mineev received a mobilization call and will go to the military registration and enlistment office
MOSCOW, September 25 – RIA Novosti. Russian mixed style fighter (MMA) Vladimir Mineev said he received a subpoena from the military enlistment office.
Mineev also said that he oversaw the restoration of sports facilities in Mariupol on behalf of the governor of the Ulyanovsk region, Alexei Russkikh. According to the athlete, he was registered in Moscow, but after the death of his brother during a special military operation in Ukraine, he moved with his family to Ulyanovsk, where he grew up and served in the army.
“I will not run. I get a call and go to the draft board, and then as the Motherland decides. I fall into the first category, I am a paratrooper – a term and a contract. There, as I understand it, there are few paratroopers left,” added Mineev.
Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed the Russians on Wednesday about the situation in Donbass and the course of the special operation. Noting that Russia will support the results of the referendums to be held in the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, he declared a partial mobilization in the Russian Federation, describing it as a decision that fully complies with the current threats.
