Kvaratshelia’s goal helped the Georgians beat Gibraltar in the UEFA Nations League match.
MOSCOW, September 26 – RIA Novosti. Georgia national football team defeated Gibraltar team in the last round match of the League of Nations group stage.
The 4th Group C League match held in Gibraltar ended in favor of the guests 2:1. Among the winners Khvicha Kvaratshelia (19th minute, penalty kick) and Giorgi Tsitaishvili (48) scored. Lou Annsley (75) scored for the home team.
In another match, the Bulgarian national team beat the North Macedonia team 1:0 away.
The Georgian team, with 16 points, came first in the group and advanced to the B League. The second place is the Bulgarian team (9 points), the third – the North Macedonia team (7). Gibraltar (1) finished fourth and will struggle to secure their place in League C in the play-offs.
In the 2nd group meeting of the D League, the Estonian national team defeated the San Marino team away – 4:0. Estonian football players took the first place in the group with 12 points and advanced to the C League.
