Brusnikina: The departure of former synchronous swimmer Davydova from Russia was unexpected for the federation
MOSCOW, September 27 – RIA Novosti, Oleg Bogatov. First Vice-President of the Russian Synchronized Swimming Federation, Olga Brusnikina, told RIA Novosti that the news of the departure of five-time Olympic champion Anastasia Davydova from Russia, who is a member of the organization’s presidency, was a surprise.
Davydova won five gold medals at the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Olympics. He has 13 victories in world championships. She ended her career in 2012.
“We last communicated with Anastasia Davydova at work in early September,” she added, a three-time Olympic champion.
