Maygurov: I will propose to the executive committee of the RRF to support Pozdnyakov in the election of ROC president
KEMEROVO, September 30 – RIA Novosti, Sergey Fuks. The head of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU), Viktor Maigurov, told RIA Novosti that he would advise the RBU executive committee to support Stanislav Pozdnyakov’s candidacy in the election of President of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC).
On Thursday, Pozdnyakov, who has been in charge of ROC since May 2018, told reporters of his intention to run for a new rotating presidency of the organization. The new leadership of the ROC will be chosen at the annual Olympic meeting on 20 December.
