Earlier, in the framework of the forum “Russia – a sports power”, the head of the Russian Olympic Committee, Stanislav Pozdnyakov, expressed his confidence that in Los Angeles the Russian team will and should take at least the third place in the team standings. .
At the end of February, the International Olympic Committee recommended that international sports federations not allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate in competitions due to the situation in Ukraine. A number of IFs have followed this recommendation.
