Alonso was the best in the first practice of the Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix, Mick Schumacher crashed into the car
MOSCOW, October 7 – RIA Novosti. Two-time world champion driver “Alpin” Fernando Alonso became the best in the first free practice session of the 18th round of the Japanese Grand Prix “Formula 1” championship, which took place on the “Suzuka” circuit.
The Spaniard showed a time of 1 minute 42,248 seconds. Ferrari’s compatriot Carlos Sainz (+0.315 seconds) took second place, while another Ferrari driver, Monegasque Charles Leclerc (+0.386) finished in the top three. Red Bull’s overall leader Max Verstappen (+1.114) was sixth, while Mercedes’ seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton (+2.310) was 13th.
The application took place in rainy conditions. Several pilots flew off the runway, they also complained of poor visibility. Racer “Haas” Mick Schumacher crashed into the barriers, his car detached from the front suspension.
The second free practice will take place later on Friday.
