Mohamed Al Mutaywey won the first gold for the UAE on the third day, winning the 4km individual pursuit race, beating the Algerian champion, in Al Mutaywey’s first participation in the adult category of the Arab Championships in Athletics, to win his first medal. A race in which he finished fourth in the last edition of the championship.
Rising champion Huda Hussain won another gold for the UAE, beating the Egyptian champion last season to claim her first championship gold, while Sheikha Issa added a new bronze for the UAE in the Keren race.
Mohammed Al-Mutaiwe confirmed his happiness with his first medal of the tournament, after much preparation since the end of last season’s championships, which witnessed his participation in the junior category, stating that his goal was to win the gold medal. , which he already had. achieved this year.
