Lokomotiv announced the resignation of coach Zinnbauer and sporting director Zorn.
MOSCOW, 8 October – RIA Novosti. German Josef Zinnbauer left the post of coach of Moscow “Locomotive”, reported on the website of the football club.
Thomas Zorn resigned from his post as sporting director.
On Saturday, Lokomotiv lost 0-4 to Sochi in the 12th week of the Russian Premier League, their fifth consecutive defeat in the national championship by a margin of 3-13. The team dropped to 14th place in the classification.
Zinnbauer was appointed head coach of Lokomotiv in June 2022. Zinnbauer played as a midfielder for Karlsruhe and Mainz in the Bundesliga. As head coach Hamburg (Germany), St. Gallen (Switzerland) and Orlando Pirates (South Africa).
Former CEO of Spartak Moscow, Zorn was appointed coach of Lokomotiv in July 2021 and became sporting director of railway workers in November.
