Kanchelskis: Lokomotiv management needs to appoint a coach quickly
MOSCOW, October 12 – RIA Novosti, Alena Sulizova. Moscow football club Lokomotiv’s leadership needs to find a replacement as soon as possible to replace the sacked head coach Josef Zinnbauer, former Manchester United football player and current coach Andrei Kanchelskis told RIA Novosti.
On October 8, Lokomotiv announced the sacking of Zinnbauer and sporting director Thomas Zorn after losing to Sochi in the Russian Premier League (RPL) match by a score of 0:4.
The expert criticized Zinnbauer, who has been coach since 30 June 2022.
“Of course we have to revive the team, it was necessary to revive it even sooner when everything is in the middle,” said Kanchelskis, who played in Saudi Arabia.
