PSG defender Ramos to miss two Ligue 1 games due to suspension
MOSCOW, October 12 – RIA Novosti. Paris Saint-Germain defender Sergio Ramos has been suspended for three league games (one postponed) for insulting the referee, according to the official website of the French Professional Football League (LFP).
On October 8, “PSG” drew with “Reims” (0:0) in the match of the 10th round of the national championship. Ramos was ejected at the end of the first half and received two yellow cards in one minute. According to media reports, during disagreements with the referee, the PSG defender called him puta madre (translated from Spanish as son of a bitch). In his post-match report, the referee noted that Ramos protested his decisions but did not record the insult.
It was previously reported that Ramos faced a two to seven game suspension after the incident. In the current draw of the French championship, the Spaniard played 10 matches and could not make any effective moves.
PSG will face Marseille in Ligue 1 on 16 October and face Ajaccio away on 21 October.
