The head of the league, Nail Izmailov, had a meeting with the head of the Crimean Football Union (CFU) in Crimea, Sergei Borodkin, the press service of the National Football League (FNL) told RIA Novosti on Wednesday. According to Kanchelskis, a few years ago the transition of Crimean football clubs to the Russian championship seemed more realistic.

And then, a few years ago it was much more real, now the situation is completely different and so is the atmosphere and the situation. With the decision of the Union of European Football Federations, Crimean clubs compete in the regional championship after Crimea joins the Russian Federation, the organization prohibits the participation of Crimean clubs in the tournaments of the Russian Football Union.
